The £100,00 ‘Apprentice’ opportunity
Embarking on an apprenticeship all the way to securing a degree in engineering and manufacturing could save you £100,000 when compared with going to University.
Better still, apprentices at our two facilities will be able to immediately apply their learning on real life manufacturing situations, as well as having access to the eleven technical partners that make up the In-Comm Training Manufacturing Group.
This means you leave MCMT with the best possible skills base and actual experience of how industry works, making you more advanced than your peers and accelerating career opportunities.
We currently offer over 40 trailbazer apprenticeships and are continually working with employers to develop new courses that meet their exact requirements.
All of the training is designed and delivered by Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ In-Comm Training.
The introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy has made employing an apprentice easier than ever before.
If you are an employer with a wage bill of over £3m, you will pay into your levy and it is up to you to recoup some of the funds to help with training.
For non-paying firms, they can take on an apprentice and receive 90% of the total cost from the Government – a small investment for a huge return.
- Employers with less than 50 employees receive full funding for training 16-18 year-old apprentices
- All employers receive a £1000 grant for recruiting a 16-18 year-old
MCMT is the fastest-growing training centre in Shropshire and, in just fifteen months, are working with some of the region’s best and most progressive employers, including:
- Bridgnorth Aluminium
- Grainger & Worrall
This gives you a fantastic opportunity to start your career with firms that invest in new talent and can offer great careers in the UK and overseas.
More than apprenticeships…
MCMT is not all about apprenticeships. We also provide companies with access to more than 100 upskilling opportunities, encompassing BIT, continuous improvement, leadership and management, quality and lean.
If you are a SME and looking to improve processes or develop new prototypes, you can tap into our Engineering Club for a monthly fee. This gives you access to technology that would normally be out of your financial reach.
